I came across another artsy blog recently where the author discusses why the ideas of creating and using a scrapbook is a good idea, and trying to apply the that to a project where photos are the main point of focus.
The author talks about how scrapbooks are a good way to store memories and moments that may be forgotten over time. because scrapbooking is a much more personal and less simplified version of image and text display it makes for a more meaningful piece of work.
I can definitely apply this idea to my project if I chose to go down a scrapbook design bath. A lot of the photos have taken are from parts of leeds city centre that may not be seen by people as much as they should, the main reason for this is mostly because the area is just not popular or is out of way. A scrapbook design may be a good way to preserve these images in a more personal way.
